Israel doesn’t look very good at the moment. Over 200 Palestinians have been killed in the last few days and more than a quarter have been children. Tzipi Hotovely, Israeli Ambassador to the UK, tells us this is all because Israel has a right to defend itself. Hamas has been firing rockets into Israel. The BBC (along with most of the Western media) spent a little time insisting that everybody should condemn Hamas, but they have changed their tune. Maybe they just don’t want to look utterly ridiculous in the face of mountains of rubble that used to be homes, and mountains of camera phone shot evidence that the world’s fourth largest military power is (still) indiscriminately killing civilians, and still hoping we will believe that they only target terrorists. This narrative is as old as colonialism, apartheid and ethnic cleansing itself, but recently, Israel has really been raising the bar.

You couldn’t make this up, but Tzipi could.

Two recent interviews showcased Tzipi Hotovely’s abilities to make Israel look even worse than it already does. The lady doth protest too much, methinks.

One interview was with SKY News’ Adam Boulton and the other with the BBC’s Emily Maitlis. Both interviews are unbelievable. At the end of the Sky News segment, an exasperated Adam Boulton…
