The secret to lasting weight loss that we’re all missing

We’ve all been there, that depressing and physically draining place that comes after a supposedly successful diet. You remember the time you lost 20 pounds, or maybe even more, and finally got into those old jeans, or finally stopped being ashamed of the way you looked. You felt great, full of energy. Your friends and family commented on how good you looked, and your self-esteem was sky-high.

That was a little while ago, but things have come back full circle. Those jeans are impossible to get into, you feel even worse than you did the last time you determinedly set out to lose weight. This time you’re even more determined because you’re weaker and more lethargic than you were last time. You’re also even fatter than the last time.

Why does it keep happening? You get fat, you lose weight, then you put the weight back on, plus a few more pounds. You get even fatter, you lose the weight, once again you can’t keep it off, and you get even fatter than last time. Repeat. It’s the curse of the yoyo diet. Fast forward a few years and you’re in worse shape than you ever imagined.

All diets work in the same way. Keto! Atkins! Grapefruit! 5/2! Intermittent fasting! The Soup Diet! They all work, but the pseudo-scientific explanations pushing special chemical…
