Whiter

I wish my teeth were whiter
But I want my coffee now,
I’ll never get my perfect smile
But I know exactly how.

I wish the day was longer
But I have to get to bed,
I could do everything I want
But I’ll sooner end up dead.

I wish I was a natural
Who could talk to anyone,
I’m safe if I say nothing
But I don’t have any fun.

I know it isn’t working
I don't like being me,
It’s the things that I imagine
Not the things I see.

I wish I knew the difference
I wish I knew the way,
I wish I had direction
And something good to say.
