We Have Enough

I wish I’d seem it coming
I wish I didn’t bleed,
I wish that I was younger
And had more time to read.
Can you imagine where we’d be
If we’d never gotten lost,
And we’d never killed so many hours
But that’s an awful cost.
And what would we be buying
I think we have enough,
But I wish we had a little more
And life was not so rough.
I’d like to take a week or two
With only company,
Of air, of night, of foolishness
And things that used to be.
