Malfunctioning maybe
But I’m working,
How do I feel?
It’s still lurking

About the job?
It’s what I do
Automatic,
So are you.

The threat I mean
You think we chose,
We just reacted
To what arose.

I can’t complain
I’m not sinking,
It’s not really
What I was thinking.

Not what I hoped
I won’t complain,
All of nothing
Is mine to claim.

We just transact
No value here,
Not enough
For us to care.

It’s all gone
But comes around,
We smile and wait
On fragile ground.

Remember dreams
Remember risk,
Remember chances
We all can kiss

Goodbye farewell
The vaults are empty,
I can’t return
What life has sent me.
