My head is shaking
Not the world,
Why can I never
Keep the girl?

I curse and laugh
I take a drink,
Too good to be true
I think.

So here I am
Back on my own,
My empty life
And empty home.

I should have known
It wouldn’t last,
Life’s like drinking
Better fast.

But here she was
And there she goes,
Just me again
And how it shows.

Familiar face
Shakes it’s head,
And I repeat
The words she said

Please stop baby
I can’t help you,
You’re too far gone
I’m going too.
