The River

I went to see her later
Noting it was late,
Nothing could prevent it
I don’t believe in fate.

Her eyes weren’t really looking
They look just like stone,
We must have both felt perfect
It felt like being alone.

There was nobody watching
We could have danced as if,
But we don’t need to do a thing
Leaving everything as is.

As it was is better
It can’t be any more,
So I don’t disturb the river
From this quiet shore.
