My mistakes

Usually it’s okay
Most days just don’t go my way,
But the weeks are not so bad
At least I get a chance to play.

I lose most of the bets I take
But I’ve never lost my stake,
I get out quick when I am down
I can’t believe how much I make.

All the blunders are amusing
I’m smarter because I keep losing,
It would feel good to win some more
But outcomes aren’t open to choosing.

Someone told me long ago
You don’t know what you don’t know,
So get out there and take the shots
Then the ignorance will show.

Chances are you won’t get killed
If you’re living live as you will,
Don’t just wait until it’s over
Get hit, get up, enjoy the thrill.

It’s the errors I adore
I see clearly from the floor
I’ve learned so much from my mistakes
I think I’ll go and make some more.
