Lovely Winter Night

It’s almost Christmas time,
It’s almost Christmas time.
Snow is covering the streets,
Snow in beautiful white streaks.
The frost is called by the snow,
Painting all the trees with a shiny, silver glow.
Holly wreaths being hung,
Christmas carols being sung.
Pine trees have been decorated,
Presents are anticipated.
But Santa will not yet come in his sleigh,
For it is not the sleep before Christmas day.
Now I'm not sure what to write,
So have a lovely winter night.
