Hi Michael. Thank you for the comment. I began training in 93 and it was almost impossible to get hold of anything by Mentzer (my introduction to HIT) back then. Me and my training partner were doing his routines, everyone else was staring at us like we were fools, with some well meaning gym rats even telling us to reduce he weigh t and do more sets, until we started getting stronger than them all!

It must have been amazing training in the 70's, the golden age.

I just train once a week, and I get stronger on every workout. One set of each exercise to failure, using a bit of pre exhaustion on chest (pec fly immediately followed by dips). I do my dips and my chin ups in a negative only manner (adding weight when I get to 5 x 15 second negatives) and those sets are even more daunting than my squats.

Happy training.
