How 1970’s bodybuilders put half an inch or more on their arms in one workout
In 1977 a man posted an advert in Ironman magazine promising bodybuilders that he could put at least half an inch on their arms, measured cold, after just one workout. Readers were told to build their arms as big as they could first, and then visit him in Florida to take the challenge.
The man was Arthur Jones, and he was so confident that he offered to refund the expenses of anybody whose arms did not grow at least one half inch, from one workout under his instruction.
Over fifty bodybuilders accepted the offer. There were no refunds.
