We opt for polite conversation
Observing social mores,
Our esteemed guests and acquaintances
Are all bastards and whores.

What I know about you
Makes this meal harder to swallow,
I smile and pour another drink
There are rules that we will follow.

You come into the circle
I expect you’ll be ejected,
Your act is too convincing
For you to be rejected.

Only in the estimation
Of those I cannot guide,
They will accept what they uncover
Until then you can hide.
